Scullers
Late afternoon and some scullers were rowing down the Daugava River, which runs through Riga, Latvia. The strange looking building in the background is the National Library of Latvia.

I assume the man in the bow is steering. I have never seen that sort of arrangement before although it does make more sense than having a helmsman in the stern where he struggles to see ahead because of all the rowers.

Really a nicely composed image, Manfred. Well done.
I wonder when/why they decided to call this sport sculling when in fact they are rowing. True sculling is a completely different method of using an oar to propel a boat.
