Repurposed Zeppelin hangars

These are not particularly good images, but I found the story of Riga's Central Market absolutely fascinating.

The market had outgrown the existing market buildings and Riga City Council looked for an innovative approach to solving the space problem. The solution was to relocate two 240m long (878 ft) WW I zeppelin hangars from the the Vainode Air Base, a German WW I air base, to act as market buildings. The work was completed in 1930 and the five market buildings are five of 11 remaining zeppelin hangars in the world. Decorative work was in the Art Nouveau style. These hangars, as well as the old town of Riga and the Art Nouveau district are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
