Nicely done, great looking sky.
Sharon, nicely done. B&W for mine.
Cheers Ole
Nice images Sharon . IMO the color image would also work nice in B&W
Thank you Ole and Binnur. Often, it seems with landscapes, B&W produces more drama, but I suppose it depends upon skill, and also the scene.
Hi Sharon,
Given the title of the thread, I prefer the colour since it portrays the 'sun warming' aspect successfully, which in a mono of same (and #2) is lost, not just because of the colour, but also because due to both distance and (I suspect) the softness of the light, we can't really see shadows to know it is shining in to the scene.
With the B&W shot, if it were mine, I would crop 20% width off the left hand edge.
Not sure if those musings are any help, but that was my intent.
Cheers,
Dave
I like the colour version as I can see everything more than the black and white with the dark shadows. I guess I do not have colour blindness yet...
Thank you Dave. Yes, the second photo was added w/o consideration of title.
And I do believe a different focal length may have made #2 better, along with your very valid musings!
I really am never 1000% sure on whether I chose the correct lens, yet in general landscapes need things I don't always include either.
Well done images
