    Nickolas Conservatory II (3)

I returned to the conservatory and shot a few more IR images. Here are three for your CC.

    1. Boardwalk

    Nickolas Conservatory II (3)

    2. Conservatory and boardwalk. On overall view of this large glass structure. It's very nice to walk through its interior and enjoy the tropical plants in the middle of winter. I removed power lines and slightly darkened the sky.

    3. Foliage and stream. This is similar to yesterday's image but this one has a center of interest the other one lacked. I tried various crops but like this one best.

The IR is always interesting and I think you have done a good job in balancing the tones. Here are a few thoughts on compositionl #1--seems schizoid in its emphasis. The large stone steps in the foreground and the far extent of the boardwalk don't seem to work together. One composition would crop the top just past the bench, making the stone steps important; the other would crop the foreground at the bottom of the step to emphasize the extent of the boardwalk. Consider both options.

#2--works nicely, with the foreground handled well

#3 best of the lot except for the human in the middle. Like the placement of the fountain in relation to the foreground but would suggest trying to eliminate the human if possible (by non-lethal means!)

    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the suggestions, Judith. The figure in #3 is a statue; it's a popular item at the conservatory. I could clone it out but those familiar with this scene would wonder what happened to it. The weird angles in Boardwalk don't seem so strange when viewed in person but it doesn't carry through very well in a photo. I'll try your cropping suggestion.
