I plan to continue the "blue" theme in the next coming weeks, an early example is seen in this thread. A Little Blue

Here is another capture, the plan is to shoot during the "blue hour", incorporate a human element and also some form of architecture, structure.

Thanks for commenting. Shooting during the blue hour takes a bit of my concentration, it requires me to scout out a setting, be there, and have the camera prepared for specific conditions. This is totally out of my comfort area as I like to shoot spontaneously but like to push my camera to the limits. It has been fun working with the available light and in the near future I plan to try and add a bit of flash to the scenario.

John, this is an interesting shot. You said that you wanted to "incorporate a human element and also some form of architecture, structure." You have achieved this, however I would use Lightroom or Photoshop to lighten the "gang plank" so that the eye is led past the lights of the shop and into the centre of the photo. I would then lighten the people in the open air area. The human element is not obvious at the moment.

Slightly brightening the midtones may work if carefully applied, but I fear it could just end up with a rather 'flat' looking image with somewhat muddy colours. In which case, I would leave it as it is now; which is a good looking scene.

Beautiful scene. I love the mood. I can't say there is much I would do to it, but I am such an amatuer in regards to PP.
