    Parti Yorkie

I have been around dogs for a long while and can identify most breeds, especially with purebred dogs (mixed breed dogs are sometimes a lot more difficult to I.D.). However, I missed it with little Prince. I have never seen a Parti Yorkie, although they have been among the American Kennel Club (AKC) breeds since 2000.

This is the entry picture of Prince to serve as a baseline image. I always shoot an entry photo of the dogs when they arrive. Prince was left at our vet due to a broken leg and the owner's not desiring to spend the money to repair the leg.

    Parti Yorkie

A Parti Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier) can have white, black, tan and gray coloring. I though that Prince was a Yorkie-Shih Tsu mix and was surprised then our vet told me he was a purebred Parti Yorkie.

He is doing very well and is eating just fine. Although we have him on pain control medications, he doesn't seem to be in any distress.

We will adopt him out to a home in which there is enough money to give him vet care if he ever needs it again.

Poor little guy. This shot should provide pretty dramatic contrast with the one you'll take of him in a few days all dolled up.

Very sweet looking dog. So sorry to see such an expression, but you are amazing.
btw: I can only view the pics you post on my cell phone. Otherwise, I see that dreaded question mark.
Hey, maybe I'll try a different browser

I wish the Prince a speedy recovery, and I hope he has found a worthy family that will take care of him.

    Prince Update!

    Thank you for your interest!

The posting of Prince when he arrived at our rescue is close to five years old. But since there has been some interest in Prince, I'll answer the main questions...

Yes! He fully recovered and was adopted into a loving family and is living a happy life.

Here is an image of the little guy, shot after his recovery and at about the time he was adopted!

    Re: Prince Update!

I have fostered a large number of Yorkies but, my favorite terrier of all is Sasha, a Rough Coated Jack Russell. She was a foster but I just could not part with her and she has been a devoted family member for several years now.
