    The Entrance to Glencoe

I've been sitting on this one a long time, unable to get the final image to appear as I wanted it. And then, last night - Bingo! Well, I think so.

Just at the end of this straight piece of road, it goes into a series of twist and turns and the hills are crowded right in on the roadside, that's the Pass of Glencoe. And you emerge, still going downhill, into the glen (valley) of God-alone-knows-how-many tourist snaps, and a mecca for landscape photographers. The movie-industry and advertising industry also use it (a recent James Bond featured the glen and did the tourist business a big favour - sorry can't remember the name of the film).

Any comments on the image will always be welcomed.

Nice capture, was this taken while the vehicle was in motion?

    No!

You're forgetting we drive on the other side of the road.

Not through the rear window then, Donald!

Wonderful perspective and the clouds are amazing.

(I also like it with a bit cropped off the right and bottom, but keeping the 16:9 ratio, so that the road kerb emerges from the bottom left corner, and giving a bit more power to the peaks.)

    Cheers.

Donald, I really like the perspective of this photo and the (controlled) highlights top left corner. It appears, to me anyway, that you are experimenting with respect to lens choice and subject. Beautifully done, as always.
    Cheers Ole
