    Early Starts

I decided that I needed to make an effort to increase my exercise as walking round the living room flapping my arms about at 11pm to get the last few calories registered on my Apple Watch so I hit my daily target is not exactly helping.

Soooooo......I've set my alarm for 6am to head out for an hours walk before breakfast every morning this week. The downside to this madness is I feel worse than I did on Monday but the upside is the dog thinks all his Christmases have come at once and I have witnessed a string of glorious sunrises.....yes I've had a camera with me.

Monday was a bit grim with a warm, damp feel to the air so nothing special...

Tuesday it was 3°c (37.4f) which was a bit of a shock to the system and meant getting my down jacket out of the wardrobe for the first time since spring but the light was fabulous:

Wednesday - well Wednesday the sky also looked grim so I didn't pack the Fuji....guess what happened half an hour later
Still the iPhone shooting with the camera in the Lightroom app did a pretty decent job of relaying the drama...

Thursday the temperature was back down in the single digits but the cloud cover was back...

Friday was lovely again. It was calm, not too cold and the light just seemed to glow.
The first image is five frames layer stacked in Photoshop to give a little movement to the water...

A single frame this time shot from lower down to include a little more foreground interest...

Saturday's sunrise was quite subtle at first with gentle colours and again a calm feel to the beach...

However there was a bit of cloud movement so I set the camera on a tripod and rattled off 999 ( ) frames at one second intervals then strung them together into a rough time lapse...

Sunday - I'm having a lie in, an extra coffee and trying to convince myself that I need to keep this madness up.

Wednesday is particularly striking, whist Friday evokes serenity. What a difference 48 hours make!

Wonderful set of photos. And an interesting series. If the exercise isn't motivation enough to keep at it, how about our entertainment and the dog's joy

Lovely captures... I need to take my dog (or dogs) on early morning walks. With a camera, of course!
