    I like the compositions. I only wish the depths of field were a little larger. In #1 the gills (is that what they are called?) are in focus but the stem is out of focus. #2 is much better focus wise but the back half of the mushroom top is getting pretty soft.

    Also, #1 looks like it has a beautiful red top and I want to see more of that but the shiny reflection obscures the color. I don't know if a slightly different angle would have helped or if it was just the result of the light at the time. Other than the reflection, it does convey a sense of a cool, dark, moist forest floor with some warm light peeking through. Same with #2, nice mix of shadowy background with highlighted subject.

    Thank you for the comments. Actually, I did not shoot with a real macro lens and the sun was pretty bright to deliver. It is remarkable that the lens used, the canon 24-70 mm f4 with macro can made these pictures, I am very satisfied.
