Nice photo. Was this shot using only available light?

Yes, we was packing everything up and I looked over at her and the light was beautiful.. it was kinda overcast but still very pretty. I was kicking my self in the butt for using such a shallow DOF.

These are all edited jpegs from my camera and looking forward to editing the raw files.
I been working on my PP and Manfred recommend a good ebook that I am using, where you work through lessons. I just butchered a birthday card... So, I'm learning.
The sky is the limit with PS. I was looking at other people's work and comparing mine but now I'm seeing that just capturing the image is just the start. The images that I was looking at could have had hours of work in post put in them.
Anyway, back to the jpegs vs RAW.
It's always better to edit a raw file vs JPEG, right? It's my understanding that the jpeg is the edited picture from the camera and which picture style is picked.

    Mike,
Everything else aside, to me the greatest flaw in these shots is the complete lack of interaction between the subject and the photographer. In every shot she is looking away from the camera and appears to be either bored or completely uninterested in posing. There are other points to be made, but to me, this is the greatest problem with these pictures.
