Well done Kay. We need to see all the sins in one post at the end.
Several years ago, I won Arnold by guessing his name. These competitions never use a sensible obvious answer so I thought Arnold was the most unlikely from the list of possible names.
He has lived in this corner of my sitting room ever since.
Another grey day so I did some experimenting with flash settings and thought this would make a sufficiently difficult subject for test shots.
And the best results came from using the same principle that I use for my insect photos; manual setting of aperture, shutter speed and ISO to suit the scene, then adjusting the flash output to give a suitable result. (Canon 580 Speedlite directly attached to the hot shoe)
I got them ol' day 29 blues
Love it Tim very psychedelic
Raylee, I really like what you have done with that shot. We see a lot of roses but this has a gorgeous twist. As Rob pointed out very seductive
Cheers Peter- was thinking of that, but wonder what the word for 7 in a canvas is? maybe septich or septuptich?
Thankyou Donald - my equivalent of Rob's kitchen light is our side light's at the front door - no expense, keeps you know who..
Thanks Tim - when I mentioned my plan to a few people they had no idea what I was up to and suggested I needed a bucket in shot or a messy plate with crumbs/scraps everywhere......but I opted for the 'less is more' plan, so I'm glad we're on the same wavelength.
My nail model is now released from servitude
Or the chopping block?
Questions.... only two days to go chaps and chapesses.
My PAD album for October 2010
Last night we had our first hard freeze. Our garden Ginko began dropping leaves as soon as the sun came up. By about 9 hours later the leaves were all down. It is a kindly tree and only drops its leaves when the wind is down so the collect in a not-too-big area.
I call this "Ginko Leaves Falling" Shot at 50mm, f/4, 1/25sec with my E-330 and Leica lens.
This is "Sea of Ginko" Shot at 32mm, f/8, 1/80sec E330 and Leica lens
Glorious to look at but I'll cuss them tomorrow when I have to rake them all up
