Stick Bug on Apple Guava leaves

Lately on my nocturnal strolls I have been spotting Stick Bugs. When I search in the daytime, I haven't been able to find them. This morning I did and I'm pleased with the results! I took 19 shots and found that 17 of them lines up nicely. I stacked not for focus but for colors, smoothness in the bg, and a sense of depth.

    ISO 100 ~ Shutter Speed 1.3s. ~ F/14 ~ Natural Light ~ 17 Frame Stack in Fiji ~ Sony Alpha a58 ~ Tamron 90mm 272E

would have loved to have gotten all of the stick bug but would have lost too much detail.

Yes, I agree, both with Shadowman and yourself. These elogated insects have no thought for a poor photographer with a 3:2 rectangular frame.

    Nicely focused and well exposed.

The stacking evened out the exposure. The Sun was rising and there were a few blown areas as the leaves came under direct sunlight.
