When the 1980 Olympic Games were held in Moscow, there was no venue for sailing in that city, so the sailing events were held in Tallinn, Estonia. As part of the construction in support of the Olympics, a vast sporting venue was built near Tallin's harbour. It was called the "V. I. Lenin Palace of Culture and Sport", but was later renamed to Linnahall.
Abandoned since 2008 /9, it looks pretty rough, but there are plans to renovate and reopen it in 2019. There are plenty of examples of this Brutalist architectural style all over the former Soviet States in the Baltics.
I used a fairly aggressive approach in PP to enhance the almost surreal look to the place.
1. Mother nature is taking over
2. There is some excellent and some less excellent graffiti in its walls
3. The walk up to the entrance has seen better days
4. Another view of the building
