    Missed the take

But still love the these two clowns.

Maybe some time in PP would help.

    Sharon,
IMO, an image doesn't have to be technically perfect if it means something to you.

Some time in PP will usually help, Sharon.

To get a good image, we need the following three elements.

    1. Well done from a technical standpoint;

    2. Good composition; and

    3. Good emotional impact on the viewer.

#3 is the most important one and we can live with an image that is not technically perfect and has a few compositional issues.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I think we so often just focus on the technical side, that we often miss the true intent of photography.

.....And if you have a shot that has emotional significance for you, surely you would want at least to try to make the best you can of the technical side, in the hope that you might actually improve the emotional impact of your image.

    Cheers.

    Sharon...

What do you think of this edit?

    Missed the take

I like it but, there are times when I am blind to my own fallacies in my edits...

I like it. Bringing a bit more clarity to Yellow Boy is a nice touch. I had left him a little out of focus on purpose, but seeing this I realize he could still be more clear w/o stealing the show from his sis (which he normally wants to do).

Thank you for your efforts, appreciated.

Couldn't agree with you more, Sharon. IMO you conveyed your true intent.
    Well done.
