I was out to shoot birds at the feeder, and a couple of chipmunks were running around, so I was able to get this shot. I've always liked chipmunks since we used to go for summers up to northern Minnesota, and would see them around my grandparents' cabin.
C&C are always welcome.

Officially, Haweolleen is tomorrow, but beggars night (or trick or treat) is held tonight - never on Sunday! I made a shot of what is probably the most elaborate Hawolleen display in town. It was built by a family as a project. Father, wife, teenage son. and pre-teen daughter worked on the building and all participated in the display. It was a bit difficult to catch a time when there were not overly many viewers crowding about. I shot with my E-520 and 14-54mm Zuiko using a triplet of AE shots from -1 to +1 and at a variety of ISO. The ISO 400 looked the most realistic and my only editing was a little sharpening in Photoshop. It is very red since they used red lights for almost everything. I hope you enjoy seeing this.
I just call it "Pirate Ship".

Hi Stan,
An interesting shot (and I wish I'd been that good/successful a parent).
It still looks a bit soft in places, possibly because of the red light and that got me thinking - oh dear.
I wondered if a copy and monochromed version on a new top layer, with more contrast and sharpening applied could be then re-coloured with a red tint (sepia gone mad?), then erase little holes for any distinctive other colours like the orange bollards. The aim being to end up with something that looks like this, but is sharper still.
In the process, I think I'd try to lose the light from the open garage though.
Or it could just be the sharpening was applied with a high-ish threshold, so a more conventional process, as you have done, but with an early noise reduction pass (e.g. Neat Image) to allow lower threshold on sharpening would do the trick.
A good picture though, glad you persevered with the shooting.
Cheers,
