I’d crop—a very small amount fro the right, a bit more from the bottom, and considerably more from the top.

The first thing that strikes me is that this image is a candidate for horizontal (landscape) orientation rather than the vertical (portrait) orientation that you went with. That would definitely eliminate the distracting, bright areas of the image at the top and bring more focus on your subjects. Because this was shot in vertical orientation, the cropping possibilities are somewhat limited, as I would like to crop a bit of the right hand side a bit more.

Also, you went with a very heavy orange overtone. I do prefer portraits when they are a bit on the warm side of neutral, but not nearly as much as you have.

My first thought, Mike, was for a much closer crop and there is a patch of dark out of focus area in the foreground which could go.

But on reflection, I rather like the unconventional idea of having a bit more top space instead of cropping down to a more standard portrait type of scene. Maybe lose just a fraction from the top but in this particular case the background is rather subtle and doesn't distract from the main group. It also adds a bit of context to the overall image.

Nice, it looks a bit pasted in especially with the clean or lack of cast shadows but I still like.

Mike, I really like this image...

    1. In any group shot, there needs to be some connection between the individuals in the group... You have achieved this in the mother's adoring look at her son (I am assuming they are mother and son).

    2. I like that the three are not in lock step but, that the dad is leading with his left (image right) leg while mom and son are leading with their right legs (image left) however, they are in unison which balances the image.

    3. I like the lighting but, might tone down the brightness of dad's face (right side - image left) just a bit. The brightness tends to attract my attention away from mom and son...
