Diwali Festival plus envy

Trying to take photographs of dancers on an elevated stage with lighting/speakers blocking the view has it's challenges. Was it wrong to envy the official? photographer's prime postion? He kept fairly well out of the way but boy I would have liked his spot.

Unfortunately the official photographer can be an obstacle to you as well, I tend to make the most of the obstruction by including the photographer in some of my images. Nice series.

I always say "if you can beat them , join them". The photographer has his place. Nice pictures.
What's going on in the right bottom corner of that first photo?
Young girls. In Holland they have to have a special permission to play on the stage.

The photographer was doing his best to keep out of our way. I was just very aware the performers were making lots of interesting things with their feet that from the "official" photographers position he could capture. I was basically limited to knees up shots.

If you look very carefully you will see his heel overhangs the box he is standing on. Looks odd but it is
not a result of any sinister manipulation...
