Very good Erik - and welcome to CiC from me.

My only (hopefully constructive) suggestion would be to crop say 10% image height off the top edge - you can quickly see what I mean if you view in LyteBox here and drag the image partially off the top edge of your monitor.

    HTH,
    Dave

    Thanks Dave for the remark.
I do understand what you mean and I fully agree.
Getting these remarks is what I was hoping for joining this forum, in order to improve my skills.
    Kind regards Erik

Hi Erik, hope you will like CiC, I have also recently joined and think it is a good forum for constructive comments and helpful posts.
I also think Dave's comment is applicable and I suggest you look at your photo(s) and ask yourself what parts of the image are contributing to the overall image you want to project, do you need them there, etc., so, for this one, the top and bottom areas contain little information and a bit off the top and a bit off the bottom could be cropped in my view because the subject is the fly and the fungus in the central portion.
Sometimes you need negative space in an image, but in this case I think you have too much. Hope this helped.

Nice shot. I never would have guessed it was on a mushroom if you hadn't mentioned it.
