When I was living in Victoria, and was a member of the Victoria Public Library, I discovered that through the library I also had free access to Lynda.com, a video training site that has training on MANY different subjects. The photography library on Lynda.com is extensive and has some excellent stuff. At the time I was selling my apartment, and I used the videos to improve my technique for photographing homes - this from North America's to real estate photographer.
So arriving back in NZ I checked my library subscription here and voila! I had the same free access through this library. So if you want to check if you have access, go to your public library and search in the catalogue for Lynda.com. If you have access the link will appear, you will input your library access credentials and you have access to a great resource.
For example it has information on using various flash units for Nikon and Canon systems and another discusses synchronization of flash... as I noticed this is a current topic.
