Re: Fall horse jumping
On the 2 previous shots I applied a velvia effect which is perhaps too strong. I display here after w/o this treatment

Thierry
I do not think that the velvia effect was too strong.
Either way, the more 'head on' image of the horse just beginning its jumping action, is quite outstanding. Your capture and presentation of the sheer power and energy on display is awesome.
Your immense skill comes, in part I am sure, from your initmate knowledge of horse-jumping and of being aware what is going to be happening when. Then you add in your ability to compose and construct images and we all can enjoy the beauty of the final creation.

Re: Fall horse jumping
They are terrific Thierry - the colours of the autumn trees are the perfect complementary backdrop for the horses.
We look forward to next year

Re: Fall horse jumping
I think the velvia effect gave it a better saturation of color emulating a warm autumn afternoon. Very well composed and sharp as a tack. Great shots Thierry!

Re: Fall horse jumping
Friends of mine use to event their horses and I did enjoy the action. These are great photos Thierry - the action, timing, composition and clarity are great.
