The 2nd one is my favourite out of the set but they seem a little dull. They might benefit from pushing the contrast up a little

Which one is 'Keef'? I just bought his autobiography that came out last week. I too prefer #2, but I think they all need more of a focus point of attraction.

Great idea. Filling the frame like this with similar objects can provide great composition using patterns and textures, etc but I agree with Rob you still need a point of interest and this might be a rock of a different colour, texture, size etc that can be placed on the rule of thirds for example. And I agree with the other these need more punch with added contrast and sharpening.

Well done, I like the concept and the subject.

colors are as they are, i can boost up the colors
but then they don't look natural anymore, and then you come to a point of how is your monitor is calibrated
i use a spider to calibrate my monitor, most peeps do it manually

if you use them as background in a repeating order, the point of interest will only distract you

The colours look fine from where I'm sitting. I also calibrate my monitor. Very good set of abstracts.
