Peter, I'm so impressed with the images you create -- their crispness and clarity are really beautiful, and I'm just blown away by the one of the trees in the mist. I, too, wish I could come sit in your hayloft and learn from you -- maybe at some point you'll branch out into online workshops . . .
I have to laugh at the people who say "I could do that" -- because I've said it myself, but with full appreciation of what it takes to do it. We had "open studios" here recently, when you can go around the county and visit many different artists, and I visited one woman who was displaying a large macro photo of a portion of a sunflower, with a price tag of $200 -- and my reaction was not "I could do that," but "I've done that" -- taken that exact same picture, literally, and why don't I have mine up for sale somewhere?
I'm longing to retire and will have no trouble whatsoever transitioning into this new phase of life. I have so many things I want to do, and am counting the days -- and have just moved the date closer, from three years to two. You will be a model for me in that way, too.
Thanks for your comments Elsie and for taking the time to read the back issues of this interesting thread. Rob has done a great job with these. Once you start to look around you will soon see you definately have something to offer yourself. If I can assist in any way let me know.
