    I cropped, flipped, angled, sharpened, worked in layers and made subtle color adjustments. All in all I'm happy with the results.

    A nice pair of shots. My only comment is that it is a pity that the prickly pedipalps do not show up clearly against the dark background.

    It's more than the background. This is a large Orb Weaver. The head and body is as large as a medium sized mans thumb. legs stretched out would measure @8". Without backing off and loosing magnification I just couldn't get the needed DoF to get everything sharp.
