    Just another old barn

Would like a little more contrast, but it's just not a scene with a lot.

Sharon, very nice. I'm going on a road trip this weekend hoping to get some barn shots.

    Hi Sharon,

The scene has enough, perhaps aesthetically some of the renovations (the new boards against the grassline) spoil the shot in their placement but that is part of what adds character to the image. Nicely processed and captured.

Love barns and the representation of country living and the huge part they have played in our culture and good old nostalgic sentiments. Well captured and nice PP.

This mono looks good with the contrast as it is, Sharon. To me it looks as though the image just needs a slight clockwise rotation.

    Cheers.

Thanks for the comments. This was actually shot in ACROS on my fuji, with a little bit of contrast enhancement and a bit of a move on the black slider.
John, yeah the replacement boards were unfortunate but I decided to take it anyhow.
Paul David, have fun on your trip and hope to see some nice photos.

I learned on this little trip one needs to be careful in some of these rural areas (even more than in a place like skid row, east oakland, or parts of vancouver, bc). I went down this little side road that dead ended. There was this wild property and house at the end of the road....funky, weird, junky and just bizzare. Was actually going to try to take a photo. Um, nope. As I turned around and was driving slowly down the road the property owner sent out two big black dogs that ran barking alongside and in front of my car. . I kept driving thinking out of the way pooches I ain't stopping. Maybe he was afraid I discovered his meth house?

Thank you Philip, you are absolutely correct, I thought I had done the lightroom check but went back and did the upright click and it rotated a bit, why I am not getting this correct in camera is silly, the line is right there. heheh.
