Re: Boy
The two main issues I see with this image are:
1. Too much negative space. The amount you use is out of proportion with the subject; and
2. Parts of the subject fade into the background. If you are shooting a dark subject then a hair light and rim lighting is needed.
Here is an example of a model wearing with dark hair against a black background. Notice the hair light and rim light that create the separation.

Re: Boy
Nicely captured, while I agree with Manfred regarding the negative space sometimes photographers create an image with only one potential output choice, if this image were simply a portrait than yes a crop would be needed; if this were an inspirational poster then the negative space would be a must.

Re: Boy
Hi Javier,
I like it, I disagree about the need for a rim light it may be some peoples preference but certainly not a hard and fast rule. I prefer your other shot as the hands are less obvious.

Re: Boy
Javier, nice shot! I think Manfred is correct re the extra space. So cropping your image and adding a bit of accent to his hair could produce this.....
P.S. so I moved your 'copyright' as well......
