The image or silhouette of a large type dog is instantly translatable - no matter what the sign says and whether you understand that language or not...
I used to have a sign on my gate showing a large German shepherd (Alsatian) type of dog saying, "I can make it to the fence in 2.8 seconds. Can you?"
However, no one needed to actually understand the words to understand the sign...
Of course, I had this gal to back up the sign! She never bit anyone but she sure scared the daylights out of a couple of guys
She was German Shepherd, Golden Retriever and Wolf. She weighed 85 pounds and was the most gentle girl in the world. However, she would take off a guy's leg if she thought he was a danger to my wife or her small dog friends
