    Sharon, both are nice photos but I give a slight edge to #2. For my tastes #1 looks too busy.

    Thank you PD.
    Agree, it's not really my normal style of what I like to photograph. I tend to like the less is more approach

    One other thing, I like the vivid colors. I don't think a black and white conversion would look good.

    Re: Markets

    At the risk of you feeling that I'm targeting you, this being my third reply in one evening to your threads, I actually have something to contribute here - well I hope it is helpful ....

    If I'd shot #1;
    a) I'd crop or clone over the bright slither in lower right corner
    b) I clone out the basket handle in lower left corner - and the adjacent litter on road behind (also by foot)

    Additionally, I'm not sure the timing of taking it, with two people walking out of left frame, works, especially given their clothing colours.

    If I'd shot #2;
    a) I'd crop out the bright slither in upper right corner

    Both shots exhibit some lateral chromatic aberration, which should be easily fixable in PP if you were using say PS CC - Picasa has its limits.

    I also prefer #2, nice composition.
    It does us good to try something different!

    Hope you find these constructive, as intended,
    Dave

    Re: Markets

    Thank you for your comments, they are very helpful. Yes to #1. I think a different aperture may have worked better to at least blur those ladies out. These were taken a few years ago when I just shot everything wo thinking and probably in auto .
    Some of what was taken has artistic goodness, but not so much technical perfection.
    The slither in the right, yes. Also could have probably done without the homeless person sitting behind the display.

    I don't use picasa much these days, but did so on these since I didn't have raw files and was lazy.
    Thank you for taking the time to comment and provide valuable feedback. It's appreciated.

    Re: Markets

    Thanks, gracious lady

    I used to use Picasa too, but I'm not sure if the link in my signature to the 'albumarchive' works just for me, or others too.
