Museum Dome

Thanks for looking. This is a shot from the inside of the main dome at the National Museum of Art in Washington D.C. Taken while lying on my back on the floor. The guards didn't seem upset. I suspect they have seen it before.

C&C is always desired. How else can I get better?

The shot specifics are 31mm at f/40 for 1/13 second. ISO 500.

BTW, I highly recommend the museum if you happen to be in D.C. Its big, full of fantastic paintings and free.

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who uses that technique to get a shot.

From a technical standpoint, the image is very well done, but from a compositional standpoint, it is not all that exciting to look at. Including other architectural features to help position / frame the dome could make this a more interesting image to look at.

This is where I am coming from. This is a shot of the ceiling of the Canadian Museum of History, in Gatineau, Canada. Going a bit wider introduces all kinds of other interesting shapes and structures into the image.
