    I agree with you, Brian - even if it is a ditch, it seems such an ugly word to describe this beautifully illuminated scene of an attractive woodland waterway.

    You have beautiful, wide ditches where you live. Up my way, they are neither that decorative nor nearly that wide and slow flowing. The image is nicely done and I like the lines cast by the light coming through the trees. I find that the highlights are just a touch "hot" for the scene, and that reduces the impact of the vibrant leaves.

    IMO, this is certainly a very lovely image. I agree that some PP could even add to it but, I think that the way is stands is quite nice.

    My thoughts are similar to Manfred, particularly on the right side where that light patch is appearing just a fraction on the 'washed out' side. Maybe try slightly darkening the blacks there to produce more contrast?

    Overall, though, a nice scene.
