    Lone Leaf B & W

As some of you probably already know, I am not a great fan of B & W photos. However, the texture of this leaf is what attracted me to take its photo in the first place and B & W is purported to be more about tone and texture so I thought that it might be a good candidate for conversion.

As I am stretching my wings, I would welcome any comments, criticism and suggestions that you might have.

I would selectively tone down that small over bright area towards the top right corner of the leaf.

I have started to get more interested in shooting B/W for some time now, even have set my a bit older Fuji X100 which I did not used that much anymore, to B/W permanently, so I am interested in your leaf image, and I like it very much, great detail too, it is only the bright spot on the right top which for me don't make the image absolute perfect, perhaps you can fix this ?

Thank you all for your encouraging comments. The bright spot is somewhat distracting at this size but is not so much on the original. Something to keep in mind for posting on the web.
