    Minimum - Maximum

Still in keeping with my minimal leanings I tried to make the most of a thoroughly miserable, grey, damp and cold morning by using a 10 stopper to blur away detail leaving the Herd Groyne Lighthouse sharp and vivid.

    Minimum - Maximum

    Fuji X-T1 + Samyang 12mm f2 + Hoya PROND1000

Very nicely done. Happy to see a fellow Fuji user. I have a 6 stop that I plan to start using more often once November rains are over....our rainiest month.
Beautiful composition, the red against gray works well 😁

Thanks Sharon - its was drizzling this morning but not so wet that I kept the camera in the bag.

Nice color capture, if you've got some prime colors handy you are almost assured of getting something dynamic.

Super technique with a fine result.

One step to the right and you'd have gotten the lighthouse "heading out" to sea . .

Robin, another Fuji user checking in. Wow!! Beautifully done. I like everything about it. I assume the red lighthouse was achieved in post processing rather than an "in camera" setting.

I boosted the red on the HSL panel of Lightroom by 15% but otherwise this is exactly as captured. I had this shot in mind when I left the house knowing a grey day combined with a long exposure would produce a mostly monochromatic image with the lighthouse standing out.

    Why did I miss this?

Lovely image. I have a tendency to boost the clouds which, as this image shows, is not always correct. Good lesson. Thanks, Robin.
