Yup, I think you're right. I'll leave more of the texture on the buds.
Re: Something different? Working with textures.
I love working with textures and it has become quite a passion....

this is quite lovely. I like the tone of the texture(s) you chose. Adds warmth and depth....

mdeufel, yours is very nice -- I really like the faded, pale ones, though I don't have a lot of success in creating ones I like -- I'm always drawn to more intense colors and am never happy with the ones I complete. I like the kind of wood-like texture in the background of your picture (at least that's what it looks like to me).
May we have your first name? We're all on a first-name basis here, and generally include it in our signatures.

A work in progress, what exactly I haven't determined.

Peter :)
Looking at this I wonder if the crop a bit more to the right - getting into the frame the hole shadow - and less on the left, wouldn't be more interesting ?
And the reflection ? Yes or no ? And is there any graduated filter on the right ? I can see an apparent stronger texture on that side...
Cheers. Have a good week end :)
Re: Something different? Working with textures.
Antonio,
This is another shot, I have about thirty so far. My surface was only about eleven inches long and I was trying to eliminate the black surface beneath when I cropped. The texture appears stronger on the right because I had another lamp on the left illuminating the objects.

Something different? Working with textures.
Here something "fresher" :) with the same basic idea and a different mood:rolleyes:
Re: Something different? Working with textures.
I like the second one, Antonio -- I like the contrast of the pretty flowers with the grungy background --
