This is a beautiful photo Chris. The texture works really well with the photo in whole but the lighter grass at the bottom could probably use a layer mask on the darker spot which can be some what distracting.Other than that it looks really good.

i tried that the first time and it was too muted in the foreground..one thing just sort of melded into another..no deifinition, so I stayed with the natural flow which had a significantly brighter yellow in the foreground, muted those colors and dulled down the green enough to allow it to draw the eye more toward the barn...I will go back and have another looksee. Thanks for your comments.

Went back to it and applied a little more texture over that area, then painted out the other in a layer mask...it's always hard to know when to stop.

I would love an opinion as to which image has the most appeal from the viewers.

In one form or another i would have to say yes.I used photoshop cs3 to do this image but any software that supports layers can probably do the images in this thread. Thanks for viewing Kevin.

Well... I like them both as it is a great image to start with. But, I thinkI like the first one a bit more. I like the more vibrant colors... cuz, I'm just a bubbly vibrant personality like that.

This is really nice, Ron. The colors compliment each other well... the vibrancy is great and textures just work... definitely a keeper.
