I think this is the best of the 3 too Elise. Very nice. My only comment is the bud on the left is drawing my eye - can you blur it a bit to keep the focus on the flower?

Yup, I think you're right. I'll leave more of the texture on the buds.

this is quite lovely. I like the tone of the texture(s) you chose. Adds warmth and depth....

mdeufel, yours is very nice -- I really like the faded, pale ones, though I don't have a lot of success in creating ones I like -- I'm always drawn to more intense colors and am never happy with the ones I complete. I like the kind of wood-like texture in the background of your picture (at least that's what it looks like to me).

May we have your first name? We're all on a first-name basis here, and generally include it in our signatures.

Antonio, you're going all surrealistic on us -- you're a regular Salvador Dali. For some reason, probably deep in my subconscious, I really like this one.

Looking at this I wonder if the crop a bit more to the right - getting into the frame the hole shadow - and less on the left, wouldn't be more interesting ?

And the reflection ? Yes or no ? And is there any graduated filter on the right ? I can see an apparent stronger texture on that side...

Cheers. Have a good week end

    Antonio,

This is another shot, I have about thirty so far. My surface was only about eleven inches long and I was trying to eliminate the black surface beneath when I cropped. The texture appears stronger on the right because I had another lamp on the left illuminating the objects.

I like the second one, Antonio -- I like the contrast of the pretty flowers with the grungy background --

Antonio, you excelling your self Sir. I am stuck in creative traffic jam on the photographic M25 at the moment but these are whetting my appetite again.
