I think it is getting there, but for what they are worth, I have some suggestions.
I wouldn't go more yellow; it is looking unnatural to me (then again, I have northern flora in mind).
I don't know whether it has, but I think it's best to select the flower and edit it separately from the background. I did a very quick edit that way. Here's what I did:
--I cropped it, to remove what seemed to me to be excess space on the sides, and to leave more empty space in the direction the flower was looking rather than behind it.
--I selected the flower, brightened it a little and added some contrast, both with the curves tool, and added local contrast to bring out the texture (unsharp mask, amount 20, radius 50, threshold 0).
--I inverted the selection to get the background and pulled the yellow down a bit.
See if any of these directions look promising to you. if not, delete.
