Yellowstone Thermal Area
This photo was taken in Yellowstone National Park on a cold morning. The hot water flowing over the substrate was producing steam when it hit the cold air. The colors are due to microorganisms that grow in specific temperatures. There was a gentle breeze that moved the steam around and changed the view every few seconds. This is one of number of moody photos I took on this trip.

Chuck, very nice. Your posts and photos are a continuous reminder that I need to get over to your part of Wyoming.

Thank you Paul. I think you would enjoy spending some time in Yellowstone. There is a lot of opportunities for photographers.
