Went down to the pier in Cobourg the other morning, sitting drinking a coffee, waiting to see if anything of interest was happening. At about 8:45 am the large flocks of Canada Geese that overnighted there started to move out into the harbour like a flotilla following the lead group. Once spread across the harbour they then turned into the wind and just sat there. A little bit later a lot of honking, then a group would take flight then a little later another group would take flight, this went on for about 15 minutes.
I was able to get a few shots, using a Nikkor 200-500mm lens, but is was hard as you never knew where to look as it may have been a group of 5 birds or 50 birds so you just pointed, wishing for the best.
Here are a couple from that morning.
Cheers: Allan
