    Down by the Bay

A couple of grab shots at the shore of Hudson Bay in Churchill. I didn't take a lot of time composing these as the windchill was around -39 degrees C. These were both shot with the new D750 and my 70-200 mm f/4.

Because of the windchill this day, I did not take advantage of my one opportunity to wander about town shooting some of the 17 beautiful murals that had just been painted this year as part of the Seawall project.

Very nice shots, that is a sharp lens. I really like no.1
So how are you fingers doing? It appears that your equipment is doing well in the cold.

Gotta love seeing that come out of the camera. If that was a real whaling boat I'm wondering where the whale would have gone!

    Thanks, all.

Pat, I never did have to spend much time in the cold; always had a warm bus, buggy or shack to run into whenever I needed or wanted to, so it was not a terribly challenging Northern adventure from that perspective.

Susan, I never did get the story of that boat, but in any case, belugas are not ginormous as whales go. I am thinking about going back this spring or summer to paddleboard and kayak among the belugas. Maybe I'll learn something about the whaling then.
