    Cactus portraits

I had fun working with my new Dx7500 on the KOFA Reserve in southern Arizona. I experimented with the quality of the high ISO available, even when not really needed. Ended up adding gaussian blur prior to sharpening to reduce the graininess. Here is a series of cactus portaits that were fun to do.

I find cactus fun to shoot too, Judith, because they don't blow about in the breeze . I like the 3rd image for the contrast in colours.

I think it was my favorite, too, but wasn't sure others would like it! Thank you!

How high was the ISO setting? Were the photos cropped at all?
Like others I am particularly taken with the third image.

Cacti are beautiful, especially when shot against a deep blue, polarized, Southwestern sky. I love the delicate greens of those plants.

ISO was 4000-- some cropping in # 3 but minimal in the others.

    Thanks for looking.

Thanks--no polarizing on these skies however!
