Why, face not always essential to make a story!!!

Ole - when we photography people from the back, it usually does not work. The reason for this is fairly straight forward; the face and especially the eyes are what attracts the viewer's attention. This approach can sometimes work when the direction that the person is looking or moving leads our eyes into the image. In that case, the person from the back is not really the subject, but rather part of the composition, sort of like virtual leading lines.

This image does neither and in my view, it really isn't working particularly well.

I dunno; for me, body language holds all kinds of stories, or suggestions of same (the "stories", in the end, being largely the ones we tell ourselves). In any case, I can relate to this one, Ole, though I might have preferred more room at the top, and I don't think I would include the stuff on the wall at right.

For me, cropping the right side to remove those wall switches etc and going square, or maybe even cropping tighter to produce 4 x 5 ratio, creates a stronger scene.
