New crop, with Clarity removed from rockface, to smooth out texture and throw emphasis on blocks of colour, WB adjustment, curve adjustments, and slight vignette.

I missed those - thanks for the alert Janis. I'll file them away if/until downloading the update (but am thinking about going on a 2-year cycle so it may not be any time soon).

I quite like this last version. A brilliant image You have to print this, get it on a wall somewhere so people can see it and not hidden in the hard drive.

I think images like these can often be improved by taking the "less is more" approach. I would do a severe crop of just the reflection, and boost the saturation a bit. i think this would look great printed large and hung on a wall.

I was hoping to print big, but I guess I should have trusted my first instinct. Let me know if you think I can improve on this in some way. Other than a custom curve, I added some saturation in C1 (not a lot) and increased Clarity by +30. I left Structure alone.
Hi Janis, as you know I have trouble explaining with words so here's a picture. I took the mid tones down just a tad with a Luma curve. Upped the structure by 38. Added a very gentle circular vignette. Not saying this is better but it does offer a different view.

Thanks, Peter, but I don't think this image will bear further cropping. May have to do a re-shoot next summer.

Thanks, Brian. I think you might have missed my latest edit?

Thanks, Trevor. I actually printed that last edit on my Canon. The colours came out pretty well, which suggests I didn't do a bad job of calibrating my monitor. Some definition was lost, though, that made me think I might want to re-visit my sharpening, if not the whole Clarity and Structure thing. He is not going to get it for Christmas, for sure, but maybe sometime in the New Year. Or, I may try to reshoot with the new full-frame and a higher shutter speed.
