    Vancouver Beauty

Took a quick jaunt up towards Cypress to see what we could see. It was not the best lighting, as the fog was big yet the sun was coming through (all the people with sun on their face). Technically imperfect for sure, but still a fun moody view

#1 What are they all looking at?

Nicely captured, I would think that would've been beautiful light for a color image, next time try using shade white balance and see the colors pop. Use the diffused light and look for primary colors.

Thank you John. I believe I do have the color version in raw as the film Sims only use jpeg. I think the colors were pretty low key tho. I'm gonna take a look and give a stab at your sugestion

    Hi Sharon,

You can probably apply a shade WB on the jpeg but to me it always looks best when set in camera, looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I will say that for me Nikon can really put some hot pixels on reds, I like the look but printing the image can be printer specific, luckily Lightroom allows you to softproof the image and you can tone down the hot pixels.

I that makes sense. I can attempt to raw convert in camera and see of that's any better. Thanks for the suggestions always nice to learn from the masters 😁

My son and daughter in law, as well as my friends in Vancouver, were complaining about the dense fog for last week. Meanwhile I was envious of the opportunities afforded by the fog.

Good to see you were able to use it to good advantage

Hi Trevor, thanks for the comment.
It's that time of year . Fog or rain. Pick your poison. The sun coming through was beautiful obviously. There were a ton of people up taking a look. Unfortunately no lighthouse seen on lighthouse park romp ... but us and the canines had a great time.
Vancouver is a beautiful place. Ya sure pay for it tho. The tax on foreign purchases mean everyone is coming to Seattle more now tho.
