Free version of NIK
Hi everyone, I have downloaded the free version of the NIK collection. I have Win. 10. I do not have Photoshop or Lightroom. Can the Nik Collection be used as a stand-alone, if so, how? I open the program, but unable to open an
image. I am not real tech savvy, and wondering if I am doing something wrong?? May there is some other program
that can be used as a plug-in? I have Luminar 2018.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Free version of NIK
Jerry I use NIK as a stand alone. With Dfiine Sharpener and Viveza you paste the file in. the rest, if you open them you should see file top left. open file with that

Re: Free version of NIK
Find the programs (the *.exe executable files) under C:\program files. On my computer, they are under C:\program files\Google\Nik Collection. Make a shortcut for each on your desktop. Drag the image file you want to edit onto the shortcut and pick "open with". I would first make a copy of the original file because Nik will overwrite when it saves.
