    Preparing the pastas

Taken today in the St. Lawrence Market, the classic fresh food market here in Toronto.
The Market is always busy on Saturdays, especially during the holiday season, and today was no exception.
While moving around looking for interesting subject matter, I passed a booth where Italian cuisine is the order of the day, and watched as a chef was preparing a dish, and took this shot.

    Roy,
The head was cropped because the set-up consists of a counter with a top glass shelf which ran through and blocked some of the chef's head and face. so when I took the shot I reasoned that it would look "cleaner" without those distracting elements. This way it is also the food that is the focus of the picture.
In truth, I'm ambivalent about this picture anyway and posted it mainly to see what kind of response it gets.
