The last time I tried shooting during the Alight at Night event at Upper Canada Village, I could not get a decent angle on the village church. This time I brought my 24mm perspective correcting lens along and I got the shot I wanted.
Christ Church was built in 1837 in Mouilnette, one of the 'lost villages" that were flooded in the mid-1950's when the St Lawrence Seaway was constructed. It was moved to the Upper Canada Village site before the area was flooded. As a scuba diver I have visited some of the underwater ghost towns; the foundations and other stone structures are still preserved at the bottom of the St Lawrence River.
