Re: 2018 Print 52 Shadowman P33 SunFlower
Hi John,
Is this a new type of paper? If what I read about it is true - luster providing shine or gleam, etc, then this is a perfect picture for it! :)
Re: 2018 Print 52 Shadowman P2
In my mind, this is the clear winner. Without opening the can of worms associated with all the feelings about cloning vs integrity of the story, the only suggestion I dare offer is that perhaps adding a little vignetting might reduce any stray emphasis away from the kit.

Hi Sandy,
The paper is not new, first came on the market in 2011. The paper I used, Epson version, is 10.5ml thick, 257g/m2, none are really metallic but have a special resin coating that gives it a particular shine depending on the subject. I purchased a packet of 25 sheets about three years ago and have only used about five sheets in that time. Its interesting that experts (Steinmueller/Gulbins), which is where I got some of the history of paper mentioned from; suggest that this paper is best used for black and white subjects, yet you need to use photo black ink in order to use the paper. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for commenting, yes some degree of creativity is needed when photographing the performers called Mas Players, they tend to utilize new technology (cellphones) and also tend to carry water bottles to endure the heat. Thanks for commenting.

I'm just catching up with this thread John. Some really interesting and well made images but this last one is a cracker. Love it.

Re: 2018 Print 52 Shadowman P36
I did a bit of cropping on this image and it ended up 6.5" x 20", so I had another image I'd been working on which I was thinking of cropping similarly so I made a contact sheet to print both on super A3 Canson etching rag.

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for commenting, being armed with just the 200-500mm lens, although I had the 85mm with me; gave me the opportunity to do an unorthodox landscape. The church has a single bench inside, about enough room for a small bridal party.

Hi John - Is the little church open so you could go inside? I confess I was bad today since I skipped our church service! A small church like this one would have been perfect for the mood I was in! <smile>
Thanks for sharing it! :)

Hi Sandy,
There are rare invitations to actually go inside the chapel, mostly viewed through the dust covered windows but visitors are encouraged to sit outside and partake of the history of the area.
