Truly a lovely shot, Donald. I like the composition: I think the bend in the stream in the foreground leads your mind into the background, even though the stream disappears, which is very nice.

I love all the textures of the trees in the foreground and background, the buildings, and the clouds. And the fog and the lights in the buildings add more (opposing) textures. Very rich.

The overall mood is peaceful and a bit drab. It feels like a quiet morning that portends chilliness rather than warmth. A brilliant shot.

HI Donald,

Great control over exposure yet again but, for me, I find this is too broad a vista. I like your shots where you capture the essence of a scene but my eye just does know where to rest in this one.
