    Celtic Princess

Chelsea comes from pure Celtic stock - her parents are both of Irish heritage. She, her sister and their mother foster many of our dogs.

Whenever we have a dog who is shy with people or a dog that needs socialization, Chelsea and her family will accomplish it. A dog's feet seldom hit the ground when Chelsea and her sister are around...

This definitely adds a different look to your dog images. The human element works very well and adds that dimension to the image of the dog. From a "sales messaging" standpoint it suggests that the dog in the image likes people and that is probably something people who are looking to adopt are looking for.

Adorable. It would make a great advertisement for your rescue and adoption group, to solicit possible new homes.

One suggestion: you might want to consider a slight burning of the right-hand side of the girl's face, which is very brightly lit. Here's a quick-and-dirty edit:

Thanks for the comments... I agree about the burning in and I also agree that this would make a very nice advert for our rescue.

However, unfortunately, her mom is dead set against her daughter's image appearing on our website or on our Facebook page due to concerns about her daughter's safety. That is a sad indictment against the time in which we live! But, I can certainly understand the mother's feelings.

I asked her mom if I could post it on this site and got the O.K. since this posting is pretty anonymous. To additionally calm the mom's fears the real name of our Celtic Princess actually isn't Chelsea.

I fully understand. I have a some candids of kids that I think are among my better photographs, but I don't feel free to post them publicly.

Horatio, I fully agree with you as to the state of society. I am not a child photographer at heart but, occasionally enjoy shooting a cute kid every once in a while. However I don't do this unless I know the parents.

I enjoyed traveling in China where it seemed perfectly acceptable to photograph kids...
