    This was taken last year in Yorkville, a very tony shopping and entertaining district here in Downtown Toronto.
    While my wife window shopped I prowled the area looking for interesting photo opportunities, and coming across a wonderful Mime, grabbed this shot.
    converted to black and white in Photoshop.

    I like it. I especially like the expression of the little girl in the background, too bad she's a little bit cropped out. Yes, I get it that she's not the subject, but she does add to the photograph IMO. The other person in the background could probably be cloned out to improve the image.

    That kid is an important part of the picture. It gives a reason for his act. I think too it should be on it completely.
    There's something else. It looks like his elbow is leaning on a chair in the shop. In general I would say you should pay more attention to the environment of the subject, it's part of it.
