Richard - I suspect that you have the images stored in subdirectories inside the "My Pictures" folder.

All you are seeing are the files in the the main directory. You are going to have to dive down into the subdirectory that you want.

PhotoLab is not an asset management tool, like Lightroom. You have to open the individual subdirectories to see the image files. It works more like Windows Explorer that way.

re: Can't Find My Images Using DXO Photolab

Is there anywhere that has a manual on the basics of DXO?

I cannot find the files USING DXO. I double click on pictures age all I get is nothing.

Loading a RAW file from a memory card seems like the most basic of tasks but, I cannot even figure out how to do that.

There seems to be a dearth of instructional material on this program and the instructional material I do find is pretty damned crappy!

I am sure that this is a great program but, it is certainly not intuitive for me nor does it seem to follow other windows protocol.

I have a short fuse when it comes to programs and I am ready to dump this program.

    Please help!

    Try:

    https://userfiles-kb.s3.amazonaws.co...371/manual.pdf and / or

    https://support.dxo.com/hc/en-us/cat...7-DxO-PhotoLab

I agree it is not intuitive, but frankly neither is Photoshop / Lightroom, until one gets used to it.

    Manfred...

Thank you - thank you and thank you...

The manual is what I was looking for!

Getting a bit sleepy now. I will peruse it in the morning and may use my B&W Laser printer to print it out!

When you wake up, there is a very useful command "ctrl u" (on a pc).

That detaches the filmstrip into its own window, which you can resize and also shows as a grid view. Makes it much easier to browse your photos!

A second "ctrl u" returns it as a strip below your pictures.
